The Robotics Club had our first tournament on Saturday at North Union. There were 65 teams in all from 16 schools.
Team 6403V (Tommy Bilczo, RJ Chandler, Ben Montgomery, EJ Torres, Liam Trowbridge) were our best team, finishing 13th in Skills, and 15th in Qualifying. They formed an alliance with a team from Zanesville and placed 8th in the Finals. Their overall combined efforts earned them the Elementary Excellence Award which is the highest honor of the entire competition. They are now qualified for the VEX IQ State Championship in February.

Brookside Ringmaster 12/2/2017
The Brookside Holiday Ringmaster Qualifer was held on Saturday, December 2nd. There were 32 teams from 7 schools participating.
Team 6403V (Tommy Bilczo, RJ Chandler, Ben Montgomery, EJ Torres, Liam Trowbridge) finished 3rd in the Qualifying Rounds, 4th in the Teamwork Finals, and 5th in the Skills Rankings to earn their 2nd consecutive Excellence Award and re-qualify for the State Championship.
Team 6403X (Joe Deluca, Mya Frazier, Tyler Kitzberger, Dominic Lundberg) won the award for best STEM Research Project and also qualified for the State Championship.
We are the first school in the state to have 2 teams qualified for the State Championship!
Our next match is on Saturday January 13 at Carrollton.

- 6403Z (Andy Bilzco, Gavin Blythe, Simon Kramp, Elliot Rion) finished 26th in qualifying and almost made the finals. 6403Z also had our highest single match score of 101.
- 6403S (Brooke Dobbins, Justice Mihalik, Patrick Nazario) and 6403Y (Emily Cwalinski, Anna McLaughlin, Christiana Tolaro) each had single matches of 83 points, which was our 2nd highest match score of the day.
- 6403P (Zak Kolleda, Xander Mincey, Mike Roth) finished 25th in the Skills competition.
