Brookside Winter Qualifier - VEX IQ Ringmaster Tournament - Saturday February 3
We had 42 teams from 14 schools participate in one of the final Ringmaster tournaments of the regular season.
6403V "Chili Cheese" won the Excellence Award and teamed with the Warriorettes from Carrollton to win the Teamwork Championship, scoring the highest match score in the state of Ohio by 15 points! (New high score is 169). They qualify for state twice.
6403X "Chunky Monkeyz" won the STEM Research Project award and finished 2nd in the tournament. They qualify for state twice.
6403K "M-K Squared" won the Design Award and qualified for the State Tournament. They were not previously qualified so this is very exciting for us!
6403Z "The Elite 4" finished 3rd in the tournament and 4th in Skills, and scored the highest Programming Skills score of all Elementary Teams in Ohio.
Big thanks to my high school & middle school teams for volunteering and basically running the entire tournament! Huge thanks to my Elementary robot parents for providing food for the hospitality room. I heard another coach say, "This is why I love the Brookside Tournaments!"
